SunCalc.net on your iPhone! Know the sunset time. Simple tool for everyone who wants to know when and where sun rises or goes down. Combined with compass and time, and weather.

Knows time zones and shows time word wide - probably nicest tool to know the time at some place at the Earth, so far :)

Pros and cons of SunCalc.net app for iPhone and iPad

SunCalc.net app good for

Clever little app brings much (though not all) of the utility of the SunCalc.net Website to the iPhone. It shows you the position and trajectory of the Sun at a user-defined date and time. Useful for photographers or people shopping for real estate who want to know how much sunlight a given property will get.
Best for buying/renting an appartment. Youll know if youre gonna have the sun on your future balcony :)

Some bad moments

Useful, especially if you a photographer, that likes early hiking to get beautiful place for perfect golden hour shot. Thank you.
This is a great tool for scheduling and planning outdoor photo shoots. I wish there were a satellite imagery map mode though. Its useful to see the orientation of terrain and buildings.
This app is great! Thanks to this app I planned my trip and managed to film great time-lapse of a sunrise. Thank you.
I saw their website about a year ago checking on where the sun would set when I was looking to purchase a house. Really cool stuff. Working in the landscape industry I use the app frequently to determine what time the sun will hit a certain area or how long the sun will be on a planted bed, etc. Great for that alone. You can hit the Nav arrow that will pinpoint your current location or enter any address too. Hopefully the iPad app comes soon. Thanks!
The app is really helpful for determining sun exposure and shadows. I live in PA near Ohio--- on taking my device to the east coast shore, I found that the time of sunrise was shifted one hour later actual local sunrise time. Based upon this error, I missed the opportunity to photograph sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. ,
I became completely obsessed with shooting exteriors at magic hour about a year ago.now I spend a lot less time scouting and more time shooting thanks to this lovely app. Cant recommend it enough for photographers and videographers. HUGE
